Marcin Januszka, Ph.D., Experienced Researcher

Marcin Januszka's interdisciplinary education is focused on design and maintenance of machines, production management and computer-aided materials engineering. In 2007 at the Silesian University of Technology he received his MSc at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. After MSc degree he started his PhD studies. In 2012 he hold a PhD in mechanical engineering (field of science: design and exploitation of machinery systems) from the Silesian University of Technology. He has completed a training courses and he holds certificates in the area of: management of innovative projects, technology valuation for new technologies, social media for scientists.

professional experience

His research interests fall in the general areas of immersive technologies (augmented and virtual reality), mobile robotics, knowledge based engineering and systems, computer-aided design. He is currently studying methods for computer-aided engineering (CAx) with the use of augmented reality, and acquisition and knowledge representation in the product development and exploitation processes. He is an author and co-author of over 40 peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of Polish Association of Disseminating Computer Engineering Systems (ProCAx). He has extensive experience in dealing with business, gained through participation in R&D and educational projects.

private

Marcin Januszka's private interests are associated with: application of augmented reality in every-day life, digital photography and computer graphics. Moreover his favourite sport is skiing because 'skiing takes a lot of energy and exertion, and you can feel it in every inch of your body at the end of the day'.
