Dagmara Sokołowska, M. A., Research PR Manager

Dagmara Sokołowska will be responsible for set-up of PR and Dissemination Offices and cooperation with Finance Department and Law Department of SUT in organisation of hosting the secondees, internal administration of the project in particular managing organisational issues regarding meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences, monitoring and controlling budget, design and establishing the web site for the EGALITE project to allow constant communication across participants and GNSS groups of interest, elaboration of communication strategies and efficient dissemination of the results, as well as convening and organising the meetings, preparing the agenda, contact with media, potential market studies.


Dagmara Sokołowska studied German Language at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland), where in 2001 she received her Bachelor degree in German and Russian Filology. Part of her studies she made at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf (Germany). In 2003 at the University of Łódź (Poland) she received her MA Degree at Faculty of International Affairs and Political Studies with speciality ‘German International Affairs’. In the same year she made her Post Degree Studies in Marketing and Public Relations at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland). Dagmara Sokołowska is also a graduate of one of the most prestigious academia in Europe - Warsaw School of Economics, with speciality Financial and Economics.

She holds industry certifications in the PRINCE2 Project Management method and Management of Risk from the Association of Project Management Group (APMG).

professional experience

Dagmara Sokołowska is a highly experienced specialist in European Projects, Promotion and Media Relations in the FACECS at SUT. She worked as a news reporter and journalist in Radio PLUS and Radio CCM and cooperated with respectable regional newspaper “Dziennki Zachodni”. In 2003-2006 she worked as a Project Manager and PR Manager in non-profit non-governmental organisation, a union of associations gathering a number of Polish and German non-profit organisations and institutions (NGO) - 'House for Polish-German Co-operation', where she was responsible for proposal composition, writing, realisation, and financing issues. She compleated in a possition of a manager about 50 projects, which were funded, among others, by European Commission, Polish-Germany Cooperation Foundation, German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and Committee for European Integration. Dagmara Sokołowska in 'House for Polish-German Co-operation' was also responsible for media relations with journalists in Poland and Germany and was a leader of PR Office. During that time she was responsilble for good relations with German politicians, people from culture circles and local and regional authorities as well as partners of regional and international development. Since 2006 Dagmara Sokołowska is the employee of Silesian University of Technology. At SUT level she has designed and was a project manager of four Researchers' Nights (the FP6 and FP7 projects): in 2006 (Re-Search IT), in 2007 (2Night-2GetHer), in 2008 (TeachbyPlay), and in 2009 (Fuscat). In years 2006 - 2009 she was a leader of the PR Dean Office at the FECECS at SUT, where she proposed a new form of research, science and education promotion. Since 2011 she is Vice Director for Promotion and Administration in Virtual Flying Laboratory at SUT, the exceptional laboratory equipped with 14 professional flight simulators. The VFL has been co-funded by European Union, following favourable evaluation of Prof. K. A. Cyran’s and Ms. D. Sokołowska’s initiative to establish such laboratory in SUT. Currently, Dagmara Sokołowska performs managerial and administrative tasks not only in EGALITE project but also in two other FP7 projects (SHERPA and HEDGE NEXT).


Since 15 years she plays regularly tennis and watches with huge attention tennis tournaments. She’s a big fan of the former world champion Andre Agassi and the current champion Rafael Nadal. She likes also pilates, is semi-vegetarian and promotes a healthy life style.
