Marc Torres is an Aeronautical Engineer from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC 2009), specialized in Flight Mechanics (fixed-wing aircrafts and helicopters), Aerodynamics and Air Navigations rules.
Marc Torres is a Project Manager of aeronautics and space engineering as well as consultancy. He has worked in INYPSA and AERTEC related to airports issue, and since February 2009 he joined Pildo Labs. At Pildo he managed the participation of the Company in the frame of the HEDGE project (HElicopter Deploy GNSS in Europe) under the FP7th Galileo first call dedicated to helicopters sector, as well as the continuation of the project, HEDGE NEXT, about to begin. He is also in charge of the Eurocontrol Project MIELEC (Implementation of APV/SBAS approach procedures in Poland), which aims the introduction of new procedures enabled by EGNOS in Poland and Eastern Europe. Morever, he designed an advanced procedure (RNP-AR) for the new airport planned in Cusco (Peru). Also in the framework of FP7 he works in the GARDEN Project in close cooperation with French DGAC, and in SIRAj project.
